Ground investigation
Geotechnical consultancy
Contaminated land assessment

Job Vacancy | Geotechnical Engineer

November 14, 2024
by GEA

We are looking for a geotechnical engineer with a first or second degree in engineering geology, geotechnical engineering, applied geology, or civil engineering with a geotechnical content, with between one year and five years of experience. You will join our busy team in our main Hertfordshire office. The role will involve site supervision of ground investigations, along with report writing and geotechnical analysis, together with scoping and pricing new work and liaison with clients.

We carry out ground investigations and geotechnical assessments, as well as having a strong contaminated land capability. We only provide interpretive reports, so we are looking for engineers who are comfortable being on site and organising crews, as well as spending time in the office writing reports and carrying out foundation designs and ground movement analyses. Experience of geotechnical assessments and numerical modelling would be useful.

We value creative thinking and a desire to learn; imagination and curiosity are essential, as is an ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.

We offer a competitive salary, workplace pension, free gym membership, weekly free fruit, regular social events and a relaxed and friendly working environment.
